I did it all - I think…
I think I am finally up to scratch with the basic requirements for blog set-up as suggested by Alex.
Today, just under the wire, before the next teleseminar (#4), I managed to get Google Analytics installed.
There are no error messages anywhere this time, so it is probably OK.
All I have to do now is figure out how to access and read the results of these analyses.
But I understand we will need to let it run for a couple of days to give it time to gather some data.
I am very late with the completion of my blog because of my unfamiliarity with blogging and HTML code and also I have had to deal with a series of problems and setbacks, mainly due to the idiosyncrasies of the various themes I tried to use.
A number of them just did not behave the way I wanted them to. Some had built-in restrictions which only show up of course after you have been working with them for a while. So then I had to try a new one again.
Trying to find a theme that suits your taste and your requirement is awfully time-consuming, since there are such an immense number to choose from.
But I think I finally managed to settle down with a theme that I can appreciate and work with - so far
Now during the next session we will undoubtedly get a lot more home work, so the pressure stays up.

Hi Willem,
Welcome to the world of html where just ONE missing full stop will paralyze everything. LOL!
And, Willem, do you reckon there is any chance of making this text box a bit bigger? I feel like I’m typing on the back of a damn postage stamp - LOL!
Willem, I reckon this entire project revolves around motivation and good solid planning and if you are planning ANYTHING then you are gonna want my “Time in Motion” ACTION Planner. It is FREE (best price) and you can get it right NOW just by landing on my home page at Gary-Land.

Hi Gary,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I managed to increase the size of the input boxes generated by the “Comments” underneath the posting itself, in the sub-page “Leave a Comment”.
I think you’ll approve
The other prompt for comments appearing in the Sidewall under the heading “Wall” is indeed pathetically small. It is a plug-in, written in PHP and I have no idea how to modify that.
My knowledge of HTML is rudimentary, but PHP goes over my head.
It is meant to be an area for general comments on the blog, as opposed to a specific post.
It might be better if I just remove it altogether, as I agree, this “postage stamp” is quite unworkable.
